Rules & Regulations

Beachcards are offered at the discretion of the Board of Directors of White Pond Associates, Inc, and can be revoked for abuses of the Rules & Regulations that are presented to each beachcard holder.  It is the responsibility of the beachcard holder to be familiar with the Rules & Regulations.

We are looking forward to another summer beach season at White Pond. Opening day is Friday, June 3, 2011 and the season runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

We are very pleased to have Ann Boudrot as our Waterfront Director returning this summer.   We are happy to have many of our lifeguards returning from last year, as well as some new guards joining the staff.  Please remember to stop by the guard table to say hello and introduce yourself.

As you enjoy the beachfront this summer, please keep these items in mind:

  • We require families to have their beachcard with them each time they come to the beach and to present it at check in, either as they enter the parking lot or at the lifeguard table on the beach.  Please follow this procedure and if concerns arise see our Waterfront Director on the beach.
  • Guests must be accompanied by a beachcard holder (with beachcard) at check-in, and any guest vehicles will be issued one-day parking passes.  If you plan on bringing more than a few guests on one day, you must clear it with the Waterfront Director beforehand.  Guests may be denied when staffing is limited or beach overcrowding occurs. Season beach cards cannot be used by anyone other than the designated card holder or household resident family member.
  • We ask that you observe strict hygiene practices to help us conform to Board of Health regulations, especially in the changing and disposal of diapers.  We also ask that you speak to your children about the importance of using the toilet facilities when in need and not the pond.   This is a small kettle pond and we must take great care to protect our natural resource.
Your 2011 Season Beach Card entitles you to use the facility during regular hours (9 am - 8 pm or sundown, whichever comes first) for the period from June 3 through September 5, and only when our staff is on duty.  Before and after those dates and times, the property is closed.  Violation of this regulation may subject your beachcard to immediate revocation. The parking area at the end of the County Road is available for car-top boating only.  Please do not park there when you are using the beach facility.

If you have any concerns or questions that cannot be answered by our Waterfront Director, or the staff on the beach, you may contact us by writing to the post office box.

We remind you of the preceding highlights of the Rules & Regulations, but encourage you and any beach guests to be familiar with all the Rules & Regulations.  You can download all the Rules & Regulations here.

We look forward to seeing you at “The Pond”.
